Bob Marley's international career didn't last long, and not for lack of creativity or wild appreciation for his music. It was cut short by his death on May 11, 1981. He was just 36 years old. But his musical legacy is sure to last as long as the Beatles, the Grateful Dead and other aritsts who's music is ingrained in our cultural consciousness. Marley's music remians as popular as ever.
