Xan Phillips presents... Wille and the Bandits
One of the hardest working bands in the UK has to be Wille and the Bandits. Their addictive 21st Century take on the blues has been instrumental in keeping them booked around the country and taken them into the heart of Europe.Based close to the surf scene around Plymouth they also have roots in Dorset and it was during a few free hours before an evening gig we managed to meet at Sammy Miller\'s motorbike museum in New Milton. Along with a chat about some of the classic machines under that celebrated roof we\'ll also be playing tracks from the trio\'s debut album \'New Breed\'. We\'ll also be hearing songs by artists that have influenced Wille, Andy and Kiran\'s direction, heroes such as: Kelly Joe Phelps, Pearl Jam, Ben Harper and Blind Willie Johnson. |
