Xan Phillips Presents... Field Music
The recordings of 'Field Music' are considered intelligent yet quirky. Formed in 2004 by the brothers David and Peter Brewis from Sunderland, they recently visited the south coast to perform at the Eastleigh Music Festival.This gave Xan Phillips the ideal opportunity to investigate a band who, some might say, make intelligent pop. In fact he managed to ask them a similar question and their answers, interspersed with a variety of tracks, will give you a great introduction to the sibling songwriters. And speaking of songwriters, the south is awash with them and in this show you will also hear great exponents of the craft. Acts like Wille and the Bandits, Ben Dlugokecki, Peter Lacey, Subgiant, The Dawn Chorus, and Amy Studt. |
