The Soul of The Beatles
The Soul of The Beatles
Forget the various bad dye jobs, any popular music superstar considered to be a cut above the rest will never fail to let their black roots show. Which is, of course, by way of a mop top-themed welcome to the latest installment of The Soul Of...

This time around, it's The Beatles - and, of course, the Fabulous Foursome ( +1?) that comprised the band - who are heard here reflected through the soul, jazz, funk and latin genres that have been integral to their music acoss the decades. Expect cover versions of them, by them, musical affiliations, influences, partnerships, label connections and even occasionally links and tangents so delightfully, deliciously obscure, they make the boy Jude seem right on the button.
